Mozart Bonus Features: Extras, Deleted Scenes, and Bloopers

Here are a few highlights from this solo recital I did in Chicago.

Peruckenstuck from The Civilian Barber by P.D.Q. Bach.

A parody on some of Mozart's operas. Enjoy my interpolated "Super C" at the end.

Just the high notes please

My C in altissimo (that's an octave above high C)

Restati qua... Per queste tue manine, "deleted scene" from Don Giovanni

With bass-baritone Ryan Morisson. Zerlina threatens Leporello with a razor, drags him around by his hair, and ties him to a chair.

More high notes please

Just the juicy bits of the Queen of the Night's Vengeance Aria.

Florence Foster Jenkins impression

My take on the world's worst soprano's version of Queen of the Night.

Tauber Day

These pieces are from a May 2007 concert in honor of Richard Tauber.

Meine Lippen, sie kussen so heiss from Giuditta by Lehar
Giuditta, who has taken up her mother's profession as a "dancer" aka prostitute, sings about how all the men want her because her kisses are so hott.

Ma che vi fece, o stelle by Mozart.
In this Mozart concert aria, Timante wishes for peace, but she doesn't get it. Beware extreme frequencies and high velocity.

Demo

These recordings are over 2 years old, and they don't really represent my current singing. So I gotta do a new recording. In the meantime, you can enjoy these little gems from my 2005 demo.

Glitter and be Gay from Candide by Bernstein
Cunegonde "laments" her disgraceful position as a wealthy courtesan.

Grossmächtige Prinzessin from Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss
Zerbinetta, a Commedia dell'arte performer, gets onstage and waxes philosophical about how men are pigs... and how women are no better.

Rock

Midnight Bride by Amanda White with Ross Byron

Toyshop by Amanda White with Ross Byron

Good Morning Caffeine by Amanda White and Ross Byron
Co-composed by both Ross and I.

Pull Me Up by Amanda White with Ross Byron
Here's the "full" version you've all been waiting for. Let me know how you like it.

Musical Theatre

It Would Have Been Wonderful from Annie Warbucks by Charles Strouse.
Yes, it's a sequel to Annie. As Daddy Warbucks prepares to marry the evil villaness (through a web of deceit and trickery, of course), Grace daydreams about what it could have been like if things had worked out differently.
